My name is Nicole and through my self-publishing company, Triple M Publishing, I have written and just published my first children’s book based off of my two precious daughters Madison and Mackenzie. I had this dream 3 years ago to start a children’s book series based on my girl’s relationship and I am now following my dream.
Madison was 7 years old when Mackenzie was born. During that time, I was a nervous mom worrying about how the girls would interact with each other being so many years apart. To my surprise, their bond was strong from the start. They have a great sister relationship and I wanted to start The Adventures of Maddie & Mack: The Big Sister Blues by speaking about the transition that took place in our household when Mackenzie was born.
Having multiple children comes with many joys and challenges and it is my hope to have this book series shine a light on them all. I will use this book series as a platform to boost self-confidence and educate children of all ages about the importance of healthy relationships. The series will follow a young girl (Maddie) and her very energetic little sister (Mack) throughout their sisterhood journey.
Originally from New Jersey, I attended the illustrious Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. It was an excellent experience for me and by attending this great HBCU, I gained another level of self-love and confidence. While there, I majored in Broadcast Journalism with a minor
in Marketing.
It was while at Hampton, I started putting together my first self-published book. I wrote and self-published my first book alongside my mother in 2008. It was a book of poems entitled Heartfelt: A Collection of Poems. I’ve always loved to read and write and I knew that I wanted to share my writings with the world. Writing to me has always been so refreshing and relaxing. For me, it is one of the greatest
forms of self-expression.
However, after college, I immediately began working in the media industry. For more than 10 years, I have worked for top media companies such as CNN Television Networks, BET Television Networks, and Katz Television Networks.
I am now exploring my creative side and plan on going after my writing passion full steam ahead. I’m residing in New Jersey with my husband and children.
